Hello everyone! The development team of “Genshin Impact” is back to bring you the latest news on the upcoming 3.6 version, “Festivities and Wisdom,” scheduled for April 12th. Two new playable characters, Bai Shuyu and Kavi, will be joining us, bringing us a unique celebration called the Academy Festival, where we, friends, and scholars will participate together.
Simultaneously, the expansive desert regions of Mishhavu will see a significant expansion, introducing a new area called “Cimmerian Expanse,” filled with mysterious crystals, ancient dragons, and secrets of Kanaria. This area will provide an opportunity for visitors to learn about the six schools of the Chidori Academy in the entire Teyvat.
The Academy Festival will be held by the most prestigious academic institutions in Teyvat, offering a chance to explore the six schools and their respective wisdoms. Each school is affiliated with one of the six schools of the Chidori Academy and represents one of the six different types of wisdom. The festival will be divided into two parts: the Games and the Duel Matches.
During the Games, guests can explore various booths run by different schools to learn about their research focuses and achievements through fun interactive games. For example, the Liyue school of Illuminationism, which focuses on astronomy and stars, will set up a star chart game where guests can adjust the height and angle of the star chart to light up stars and form special patterns. In the school of Satori, which is dedicated to technology and architectural and mechanical research, participants can try games to learn how to construct a specific channel within limited space using minimal materials.
In addition to fun games and celebrations, the Duel Matches provide a platform for representatives from the six schools to showcase their skills. We are also looking forward to seeing some old friends in the Duel Matches. The Liyue Invitation Quest will also be revealed in the 3.6 version.
Hidden deep within the vast desert, the Cimmerian Expanse is a land of barren deserts and magical flower oases. In legend, this land was once a battlefield for the Kanaria disaster five hundred years ago. Today, this land is polluted and plagued by the “gray residue crystals” and foul mists that spread into caves and swamps.
However, hope remains, as the “flower spirits” from the oasis have not given up on this land. The most courageous flower spirit, Shusha, will grant travelers unique abilities that allow them to traverse certain areas, reaching places that are inaccessible by foot.
As you approach the new area, you might be guided into the giant, luminescent habitat of the green dragon, Apep, by a cave. Apep was once a green dragon that ruled Mishhavu in the past, but later transformed due to an unknown illness. New types of enemies will also accompany the new area. The grass dragons will serve as powerful solo bosses in the battlefield, while the deep sinners of the Abyssal Order will appear as the bosses of the深渊教团. Additionally, the Chocobo family will gain two new members: Chocobo Wind Riders and Chocobo Water Riders.
In the 3.6 version, the new playable characters, Bai Shuyu and Kavi, are renowned in their respective fields. Bai Shuyu, the owner of Bu Bu Lu, will join as a five-star character equipped with the Grass element and will treat teammates using his healing abilities. His legend task “Medicine Scroll” will reveal the lesser-known stories of this beloved and trusted doctor. As a master of healing, Bai Shuyu can use the Soul Summoning and the Unbreakable Barrier to provide high-quality healing. A good doctor must also venture into the fields and, during interactions with certain resources, Bai Shuyu can heal the characters present.
Kavi, hailed as the light of the Satori school, is a four-star character capable of manipulating the Grass element and wielding a Greatsword. He is also a renowned architect from Mishhavu. Kavi’s toolkit, Mekhler, forms the foundation of his battle wisdom. During battles, powerful Mek
